Design Lecture series 2024 inauguration
Department of Design announces the Design Lecture Series 2024 "Unchartered Paths". The first in series is a talk by Prof. S Balaram on 5th August 2024. The Series will bring experts from the academia and industry on a diverse set of topics related to design, also to mark the 10th year of the establishment of the Department of Design at IIT Hyderabad.

4th All India DIC meet on May 2- 3, 2024 at IITH

Ayaam 2024, the annual design fest website is launched
Ayaam is the annual design fest organized by the Department of Design at IIT Hyderabad, it is a celebration of creativity and innovation. This dynamic event brings together talented designers, artists, and enthusiasts to showcase their skills, exchange ideas, and inspire each other. Featuring a lot of exciting events. This year's theme is 'What's your playground?'. This theme celebrates the boundless creativity of the design journey, where exploration, collaboration, and imagination converge to shape innovative solutions. Embrace the playful spirit of discovery as traditional boundaries dissolve, inviting you to revel in the joy of creation. The fest will be from Feb 22nd to Feb 24th, 2024 at the IITH campus. DoD @ IITH is hosting ICoRD’25
The tenth edition of the biennial conference on Research Into Design, ICoRD'25 is hosted by the Department of Design, IIT Hyderabad from January 8th to 10th, 2025. Organized jointly with the Department of Design and Manufacturing (DM) (erstwhile Centre for Product Design and Manufacturing - CPDM), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, this event brings together practitioners, researchers, pupils, and educators in a vibrant space where technology and human experience intersect. First edition of Ayaam, the Annual Design Fest on 15th Apr 2023
Delighted to announce the launch of the first edition of Ayaam - The Annual Design Fest, a celebration of creativity and innovation. The theme for our debut is 'Thriving in Chaos' and it is about embracing the chaos and turning it into an opportunity for growth and success. Some of the activities and events that we have planned around this theme include keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops, and competitions that will encourage participants to think creatively and push themselves out of their comfort zones.
